Don't miss this opportunity to engage with Mayor Sue Finkam, learn about ways to make a difference in your community, and be a part of shaping Carmel's future.

Be the Change Indy is excited to announce "Morning with the Mayor," a collaborative event with Mayor Sue Finkam and the Carmel Clay Public Library. This unique gathering offers an invaluable opportunity for community members to engage directly with Mayor Finkam, Carmel's first new mayor in 28 years, and gain insight into her vision for the city's future.

Event Highlights

  • Meet and Greet: Attendees will have the chance to personally meet Mayor Finkam, discuss city-related matters, and hear about her plans to enhance Carmel's community.
  • Community Involvement: Mayor Finkam will discuss ways in which individuals of all ages can actively participate in community initiatives and contribute to Carmel's growth and development.
  • Idea Submission: An idea box will be available for attendees to submit their suggestions for city improvement, providing a platform for community input and involvement.
  • Photo Opportunities: Guests can capture the moment with Mayor Finkam and request autographs, creating lasting memories of this special occasion.
  • Coffee and Refreshments: Enjoy complimentary coffee and refreshments while mingling with fellow community members and city officials.
  • All Ages Welcome: This event is inclusive and open to individuals of all ages.

Additional City Organizations:
In addition to Mayor Finkam's presence, representatives from various city organizations, such as the Mayor's Youth Council, Carmel Parks Department, Teen Historical Society, and Teen Library Council, will be available to answer questions and provide information on opportunities for involvement within the community.


Morning with the Mayor is designed as a casual, come-and-go event, allowing attendees to flow in and out at their convenience. Whether you have questions, innovative ideas, or simply want to connect with Mayor Sue Finkam and fellow community members, this event provides a welcoming space for all. Together, let's make a positive impact and build a stronger, more vibrant community.
