Have you ever dreamed of having your own art studio where you could work on personal projects or class assignments? Have you ever imagined your own studio space to relax, focus, and let your creativity run wild? The Teen Artist in Residence Program at the Carmel Clay Public Library is an opportunity to do just that.
The Teen Artist in Residence studio, located in the Teens Area at the Main Library, is a fully equipped art studio for teen artists. Eligible students in grades 6–12 can apply to use the studio space for a period of 4 consecutive months (January–April, May–August, September–December). Each Teen Artist in Residence has access to the studio space during regular library hours. All materials are provided, and chosen artists can request additional art supplies if needed.
Applications for 2024–2025 are now open. If you submitted an application but did not complete a residency, your application will roll over into the following year. There is no need to fill out a new application for each year. We welcome applications from art students, students who may be self-taught, art hobbyists, and any other teens with an interest in art or passion for creativity.
