Coming in 2023 – Organizations, businesses, and groups will be able to use public meetings rooms according to the library’s Board-approved meeting room policy. Rental fees range from $25/hour to $100/hour depending on room capacity with a 2-hour minimum. The rental fee will be waived for designated nonprofit organizations. The largest room has a maximum seating capacity of 296 people (chairs only, no tables).
The group representative reserving the room must have a card registered at the Carmel Clay Public Library. Rooms may not be rented for individual use or social gatherings, such as private parties, weddings, tutoring, etc. Rooms are only available during hours that the library is open and must be vacated 30 minutes prior to the library closing.
Groups may utilize library meeting rooms up to six times in a calendar year. Groups may reserve rooms up to 3 months in advance and no fewer than 7 days in advance. (Note that the large Community Room is not available for outside rental from June 1 through July 31.)
Reservation requests will be made through the library’s website. The request form and complete meeting room guidelines will be available on this webpage beginning in early 2023.
