Visakhapatnam is located in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is a coastal city and has one of the biggest shipyards in India. It also is a tourist destination with beautiful beaches and other natural areas.

Sports
Cricket is India’s most popular sport. India won the World Cup in 1983 and again in 2011. Shown in the exhibit are protective leg pads and gloves as well as a cricket ball and bat.
Music
India has a long tradition of music and musical instruments. In this exhibit, bamboo flutes and a veena are displayed. The veena is a stringed instrument that is important in classical Indian music and is the oldest instrument recorded in written literature.
Traditional clothing
Many Indian women wear a sari. A sari is a traditional garment made up of a long straight piece of cloth that is draped around the body as a long dress. Its loose end is flung over a shoulder or used to cover the head. Saris are symbols of national pride and vary based on region.
