Cozy up with a good book and fun activities as you earn donations for Hamilton County Kids Coats. Lunch and snacks provided. Registration required.
Hang out in a winter wonderland, read books, and support a great cause. For each hour you participate in our inaugural teen read-a-thon, a donation will be made to the local organization Hamilton County Kids Coats to help in their mission to provide coats and winter wear for families in the area.
Registration is required, but registrants can drop in any time between 10am and 5pm to take part. We'll provide lunch and will have popcorn and hot chocolate bars throughout the day. We'll also have some fun, winter-themed crafts available to take home with you to commemorate the day. And don't forget that your reading counts toward our Book Blizzard winter reading program, too, and can put you on the track to enter our awesome prize drawings.
When registering, you'll be asked to let us know how long you think you'll attend the read-a-thon; you don't have to stay that long, but it helps us plan accordingly. You can also let us know if you have any dietary restrictions or allergies we should be aware of.
If your teen needs special accommodations for this program to be successful, please let us know by calling the Teen Services Desk at 317.814.3983 or emailing youngadult@carmelclaylibrary.org
