Join us to discuss Gooseberry Park and participate in a science experiment involving convection currents to learn more about the weather that takes place in the story. Registration is required.
In Gooseberry Park by Cynthia Rylant, a storm separates Stumpy the squirrel from her newborn babies, but her animal friends come to the rescue. After discussing this story, we will complete an interesting experiment that demonstrates convection currents to learn more about what causes ice storms.
Registration is required and begins April 25. To ensure successful signup, each child age 6–8 needs to register separately, using the child's first and last name (not the parent's name) on the registration form. A library card number is not required. Siblings are welcome and don't need to register.
