Learn the basics of 3D modeling with a Digital Media Lab specialist using Nomad Sculpt, a beginner-friendly 3D-sculpting software used for digital design as well as 3D printing. Registration required.
Nomad Sculpt is an iPad app that allows you to digitally form a ball of clay into a digital design that can be used for 3D printing. This guided session will walk you through multiple ways of forming that simple shape into something more complex and refining it with different sculpting tools. We will also talk through design elements that will turn a model into a good 3D print, and you can hear about how to go about ordering models you've made through our 3D printers.
No experience is required, and iPads will be provided. Registration is required.
