This poetry workshop will guide you into translating emotions and experiences into meaningful poetry. Registration is required.
Have you ever wanted to try your hand at poetry? Are you feeling the urge to express yourself through the written word? This workshop for adults will help you scratch the itch to pen something beautiful. Accomplished poet John Hinton guides us in the creation of at least three original pieces. Please come prepared with writing materials and an openness for both listening and sharing.
About the Presenter:
John Hinton is a creative exploring the human experience through words. Hinton is the immediate past president of Poetry Society of Indiana. He is a Pushcart Prize nominee, a Nickel Plate Arts Artist Advocate Award Nominee, and a Marilyn and Eugene Glick Author Awards Literary Champion Nominee. Hinton has two published collections of poetry, Blackbird Songs and Held. He has also been published in Last Stanza Poetry Journal, Polk Street Review, The Weeder's Digest, Petals of Haiku Anthology, and several Poetry Society of Indiana anthologies.
