For kids in grades 3–5
Monday, September 28
3:45pm - 4:45pm
Main Library
Discovery Room(Grades 3–5) Join us on 9/28 or 10/19 to paint an octopus with arms swaying in the ocean deep. Read the full description for info about registration and picking up artists who finish early.
Choose the date that works best for you—September 28 or October 19—and join us to paint a vibrant octopus. In this fun program, we'll guide you step-by-step in painting an octopus in blush and coral shades with arms swaying among a patch of flowing seaweed. To give participants plenty of time to create their remarkably bright octopus, the blues of the ocean will be pre-painted on all canvases.
Beginners are most welcome—no experience is necessary. We'll be using permanent, acrylic paints, so please wear clothes that can get stained, just in case.
Registration begins September 21 for September 28's program. Participants must be in grades 3–5. To ensure successful signup, each child needs to be registered separately, using the child's first and last name on the registration form. A library card number is not required.
Although some participants may paint for the entire length of the program, we ask caregivers to be available in the Kids Area before the program's end time for those who finish early. All children in grade 5 and below must have a caregiver on library premises during the program.
