Learn the fundamentals of creating comic strips and characters from cartoonist and illustrator Deon "$upr Dee" Parson. Registration is required.

Are you the next great cartoonist? Help us celebrate Free Comic Book Day in this workshop with local artist Deon "$upr Dee" Parson. He'll teach you the basic fundamentals of creating a three-panel comic strip as well as how to make characters that are fun to read about. Registration is required for each workshop participant.

Deon is a Ringo Award-nominated cartoonist and illustrator based in Indiana. His resume includes the syndicated comics Life With Kurami and Rosebuds as well as the Glyph-nominated comic book series Pen & Ink. When he's not making comics, he's busy collaborating with brands such as SEGA, ToeJam & Earl, and Lofi Records. He also teaches comic book workshops to children, teens, and adults at various schools, libraries, and art museums.
