Paint Your Pet

You provide a picture, we provide the paint and canvas

Paint a one-of-a-kind pop art portrait of your furry friend. This program is designed for adults. Registration is required.

Come join us to paint a photo of your pet! Registrants will send a photo of their pet that will then be drawn by our presenter onto canvas for the event. 

Once you receive registration confirmation, please send an electronic picture of one pet to the following email address: adultprogramming@carmelclaylibrary.org.

1. In the email subject line, please include "Paint Your Pet Party - Attention Cindy"
2. In the body of the email, please include your name, the name of your pet, and a phone number we can call if there are any issues with the photo.
3. The deadline to submit your pet's photo is Tuesday, March 3, to allow the artist sufficient time to sketch your pet onto a 12 inch x 12 inch canvas.
4. Participants are limited to one pet portrait only. Non-alcoholic beverages are welcome.

About the Artist/Instructor: Kathleen McCarthy

Kathleen is a local Carmel artist and creator of Paint Your Pet Party! She enjoys watercolor painting and has sold many of her works. Kathleen received an Art Education Degree from The University of Kansas ("Rock Chalk, Jayhawk KU!"). Continuing her education, she received a Masters of Adult Education degree from Ball State University. Throughout her career, she taught Art in elementary, middle, and high school. Kathleen is most proud of her three successful adult children and six beautiful grandchildren.

If you are unable to attend the event, please cancel your registration so someone on the waitlist can join. If you are on the waitlist, attend only if you get a confirmation email indicating that a spot has opened up for you. Staff members will be taking attendance.
