Meeting Room C

An informative discussion about neurodiversity in teens. Presented in partnership with The Chris Center. Registration is required.

Dr. Sarah Henning will explore various types of Neurodiversity (ND) and discuss the negative ways in which ND has been portrayed in media and in life, as well as how neurodiverse people have often been bullied by those closest to them. We will discuss how deepening the understanding and scaffolding of ND by both the ND person and their loved ones can impact society in a positive manner.

For the last 10 years, Dr. Sarah Henning has been in private practice in Indianapolis. Dr. Henning works with patients ranging in age from high school to adult. She specializes in depression, anxiety, transitions, ADHD, eating disorders, and career assessment. Dr. Henning has also worked in a variety of settings including hospitals and cancer treatment centers.

This program is designed for caregivers of teens and is presented in partnership with The Chris Center as part of the Parent Education Series. Registration is required.
