Archaeologist Dr. David West Reynolds uncovers the surprising real history behind the blockbuster films. Registration is required for this live virtual event.

Celebrate the 40th anniversary of Indiana Jones's 1981 cinematic debut with this lively program, a globe-trotting adventure in which a real archaeologist tracks down the surprising real history behind the Hollywood action classic Raiders of the Lost Ark. New York Times bestselling writer Dr. David West Reynolds pursued the trail of Indiana Jones around the world, tracking down not only the original Raiders filming sites in Tunisia and Hawaii but also the locations where the "real" Indiana Jones was supposed to have been in Peru and Egypt. From a German flying wing to the original Ark of the Covenant prop in the Lucasfilm Archives, Dr. Reynolds' spirited exploration of Raiders of the Lost Ark will entertain the whole family.

This program is a live virtual event and will be held via Zoom. Registration is required. Event login information will be emailed to registrants the day of the program.
