Join us for a special after-hours event for teens in grades 8–12. Space is limited, and registration is required.

Experience a library-wide scavenger hunt after the library closes!  The main event will be the scavenger hunt (teaser: you and your team will be looking for clues in books that lead to keys in hollowed-out books) with even more activities throughout the Main Library, such as Nintendo Switch games, board games, and more! There will be pizza and refreshments. The winning team of the scavenger hunt will get a prize! 

There will be 4 teams, each with no more than 6 people. If you would like to be in a team with a friend or friends, let us know when you arrive, but there is no guarantee you will be placed in any particular team. 
 
This event is for teens in grades 8–12, and registration is required.

  • A permission slip will be sent one week prior to the event to the email provided when registering. The permission slip must be signed in pen by both the participant and their guardian. Bring the permission slip with you when you arrive. If you do not have a completed permission slip, you will not be allowed to participate.
  • This event begins at 5:30pm, and the library itself closes to the public at 6pm. Once the library is closed, if you leave the building, you will not be allowed back into the event.

If you registered for this event but it turns out you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration at least one week prior to the event so those on the wait list can have the opportunity to participate.

To cancel your registration, do one of the following

  • Use the link and registration reference number from the "You're Registered" email you received.
  • Call the library's Teen Services Department at 317.814.3983.
