About the Speaker: Charlie Meyer
Charlie has advised clients in various aspects of patent, trademark and copyright law for 30 years. Charlie helps clients structure their internal efforts to protect their ideas, processes and products. His experience includes searching and prosecuting patent applications, clearing and registering trademarks and copyrights, licensing, and enforcing and defending intellectual property rights both in the U.S. and internationally. He represents a broad spectrum of clients in industries such as sporting goods, cosmetics, racing, mechanical engineering and computer software. Charlie serves as Chairman of the Firm’s Trademark Practice Group.
Charlie graduated from North Central High School, DePauw University and IU Law School (Bloomington). Charlie’s awards include recognition in The Best Lawyers in America, 2021-2025; Indiana Super Lawyers®, 2024-2025; Managing Intellectual Property IP STARS , 2020-2024; and a Distinguished Barrister Award from The Indiana Lawyer, 2023. He is the President-Elect of the Rotary Club of Indianapolis, a member of Grace Church of Noblesville, a member of the Sagamore Inn of Court, and he volunteers with the Boy Scouts. He lives in Carmel with his wife and daughter.
