Business Model Canvas Workshop

A two-part workshop for small businesses

In this 2-part workshop, you will create a business model that will serve as an essential tool for planning and executing business decisions. Part of our Small Business Series. Registration required.

This is a two-part workshop that occurs Wednesday, October 15, and Wednesday, October 29.

Whether you are considering starting a business or you already run one but would like to establish or refine an existing business model, these two one-hour sessions provide information about the elements that comprise an effective business model using the Business Model Canvas. In the October 15 session, you will create and take away a draft model to refine on your own time. In the October 29 session, bring back your model to review adjustments and create a final draft.

This Workshop Addresses the Following Questions:

• What exactly is a business model?
• Why does my small business need one?
• What elements are necessary for an effective/successful business model?
• Can a business have more than one model?

About the Speaker: Carolyn Willard, EdD

Carolyn is an educational professional who has assisted small and large businesses get started and move forward as employee, consultant, and mentor. She spoke at the Women's Small Business Development program in Missouri early in her career. She has served as mentor/coach at Butler University Lacy School of Business since 2015, advising students on how to open, operate, and close a business during the span of one semester. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to establish and to continue to direct International Friends (a school that teaches American English and Culture) for almost 20 years. Her passion is helping people to achieve their dreams and live a happy life. She is a recognized Indiana Wildlife Artist and Rain on Main rain barrel painter, mom, and nana.

If you are unable to attend the event, please cancel your registration so someone on the waitlist can join. If you are on the waitlist, attend only if you get a confirmation email indicating that a spot has opened up for you. Staff members will be taking attendance.
