      • Using the video room does not cost anything. The only requirement is that you have a valid library card registered at the Carmel Clay Public Library. You'll need your library card number and PIN to make a reservation.

        Audio Room A is 11ft x 9ft.

        Audio Room B is 7ft x 7.5ft.

      • We're more than happy to help you get started with setting up the camera and lights in the video room. However, it is up to you to use the resources and conduct the shoot. Take a look at our Getting Started in the Video Room video for some quick tips.

      • While you're allowed to bring your own camera, you don't need to. We have a variety of cameras available to accommodate different skill levels.

      • No. To ensure the safety of our equipment, we only allow the use of the lab's own tripods with the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema cameras.

      • Video files can take up a lot of space. Please bring an external hard drive with plenty of storage available (we recommend at least 256 GB) to transfer the footage once you're done recording. It may be faster to transfer data on one of the Mac Studios in the main Digital Media Lab area.
