Join Traditional Arts Indiana for dinner & discussion about how folk arts generate creativity and community for older adults, and share your own creativity with others. Registration is required.
Come share your creative side! Join us for an informative, fun, and engaging discussion, led by Traditional Arts Indiana (TIA) director Jon Kay, about how the area arts can be strengthened to improve the lives of older adults. For the second half of the program, community members (approximately ages 65 and up) are invited to share their individual creative activities and practices in a “show-and-tell” format. Elder singers, quilters, poets, musicians, woodcarvers, storytellers, and others have come to these gatherings in the past.
Dinner will be provided. Registration is required. For this program, each attendee should register separately.
Traditional Arts Indiana hosts “Creative Aging Summits” in partnership with Indiana University, the Center for Rural Engagement, the Indiana Arts Commission, and local community-service or arts organizations around the state.
