With the worldwide increase in pediatric anxiety, this interactive lecture is aimed to help educate family members struggling to understand their children's worry and anxious behaviors. Discover ways to reduce anxiety, how to improve connection with your child, and when to ask for help.
The Chris Center’s Parent Education Series 2023 provides support and information to parents and caregivers raising adolescents. This series features several behavioral health experts who will share their knowledge on various adolescent wellness topics. Managing Childhood Anxiety will be presented by Dr. Kelly McManus. Dr. McManus is a board-certified pediatrician with nearly 20 years of experience working with children and families. She is a native of Zionsville, Indiana, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Miami of Ohio University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She attended IU School of Medicine and then completed her residency in Pediatrics at IU-Riley Hospital for Children. She is committed to providing compassionate care to children and parents struggling with anxiety, depression, attention and/or focus issues, executive functioning deficits, oppositional behavior, and parent-child communication.
