Using unique and ancient musical instruments, the Indianapolis Chinese Orchestra will perform a variety of traditional and contemporary Chinese music.
The Indianapolis Chinese Orchestra was formed over 15 years ago by group leader and conductor, Ka Liang Qing. Under Ka Laoshi (Our Teacher), the orchestra has developed into a talented group of amateur performers who perform with traditional Chinese instruments, some dating back over 3000 years. They perform at various festivals and cultural events with the goal of introducing the audience to traditional and contemporary Chinese music while adding some familiar American music classics.
