Learn the basics of debate, a powerful activity with many real-world applications. In this workshop, you will strengthen your public speaking, persuasion, and critical thinking skills through a variety of engaging activities, as well as an example debate. You'll also learn about exciting opportunities to participate in middle and high school debate on the state and national level. Registration is required.
This workshop is led by Shawn Feng, a varsity debater (top 14 at Tournament of Champions and top 64 at NSDA Nationals) at Carmel High School, as part of the library's student-led programming initiative.
