Create sun prints with the Digital Media Lab. Design your own composition and set it using sunlight! Registration is required.
As part of the Digital Media Lab's focus on photography this summer, this class will cover a way of getting images on film without a camera! This workshop will teach you all about cyanotypes, AKA sun prints, and cover the basics of developing your own sun prints using pretreated paper. Experiment with your print's composition using a variety of objects from 3D prints to cutouts to plants. We will also go over the basics of how cyanotypes work and the variety of ways you can use them for creating prints. Materials will be provided.
Class subject to change based on weather conditions. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
