Join Carmel artists Avery Guo and Sarah Chen as they teach the basics of plein air painting. This class will be held outside at the Main Library and will meet in Community Room B.

Plein air painting refers to the practice of painting outside. It was a technique commonly used by the Impressionists and Hudson River School painters, among other groups. Join Carmel artists Avery Guo and Sarah Chen as they teach the basics of plein air painting. This class will be held outside at the Main Library and will meet in Community Room B. In the event of inclement weather, the class will be held in Community Room B where participants will practice still life painting. Canvas, acrylic paint, and other art supplies will be provided. Registration is required.
