Goldfish Kite
Fish symbolize prosperity, abundance, and wealth. They are also associated with perseverance and success due to their ability to swim freely in the water.
Swallow Kite
Swallows are often seen as a harbinger of spring and are believed to bring blessings to households. They typically represent hope, vitality, happiness, and good fortune.
Parrot Kite
Parrots symbolize wisdom because they can mimic human voices. They also represent bravery because the pronunciation of bravery and parrot in Mandarin is similar. They also represent longevity and prosperity because they have the colorful markings of five feng shui elements.
Butterfly Kite
Butterfies represent love, perhaps originating from the famous Chinese legend The Butterfly Lovers, a Chinese version of Romeo and Juliet. Butterflies are also associated with vitality, joy, and transformation.
Dragon and Phoenix Kites
The dragon represents power, strength, and good luck while the phoenix symbolizes grace, beauty, and rebirth. The phoenix and dragon displayed together represent harmony and balance, as well as the union of masculine (dragon) and feminine (phoenix) energies. In ancient China, the dragon was the symbol of the emperor and the phoenix represented the queen.
