West Branch Improvement Project

Building improvements have been underway at the Joyce Winner West Branch. The branch is currently open its normal hours.

In order to complete the remaining work to the roof, we plan to close the branch for approximately two weeks beginning Monday, February 23.

Fortunately, you will still be able to return your checkouts to the branch's outdoor returns slots and pick up holds from the West Branch holds pickup locker during that brief closure.

If weather makes it impossible for work to begin on Monday, February 23, the closure will begin on Monday, March 9 instead.

The following improvements have been part of this project:

    • Repairs to the front facade and windows
    • Upgrading of heating and cooling systems
    • Installation of a holds pickup locker for 24/7 holds availability
    • Installation of a new, ADA-compliant service desk

    Forthcoming improvements include:

    • Completing work on the roof perimeter
    • Adding rooftop solar panels for increased energy efficiency
