The Joyce Winner West Branch is now open.

You may now

• visit the branch in person
• return items at the West Branch's indoor and outdoor return slots (including items checked out from the Main Library)
• select the West Branch as your hold pickup location for new holds and change the pickup location for existing holds that haven’t yet become available
• select the new West Branch Holds Pickup Locker as your pickup location for new holds and change the pickup location for existing holds that haven’t yet become available
• reserve the West Branch study room

Because of delays in building materials needed to fully complete the project, we plan to close the branch again for approximately two weeks beginning on or around the last week of February. During that time, you will still be able to use the outdoor returns slots and the holds pickup locker.

The Joyce Winner West Branch has been temporarily closed while we made the following improvements:

• Repaired the front facade and windows
• Upgraded heating and cooling systems
• Installed a holds pickup locker for 24/7 holds availability

Forthcoming improvements include:

• Completing work on the roof perimeter
• Adding rooftop solar panels for increased energy efficiency

Did You Know?

• The building that houses the Joyce Winner West Branch was originally constructed in 2004. It served as two different independent grocery stores before being purchased by the library for its first branch location.
• The Joyce Winner West Branch opened to the public in January 2020. 
• In 2024, over 52,000 people visited the West Branch, and over 84,000 items were checked out there.
