The Foundation Friends are an association of community members who value our library and demonstrate support through membership and volunteer participation. Their goals are to raise funds through book-selling events for library programs, to advocate for the library, and to promote library programs.
The Foundation Friends operate a bookstore in the Main Library, selling gently used books, movies, music, audiobooks, games, and puzzles. They also hold large-scale book sales twice a year in the Main Library Community Room. Learn more about the bookstore and book sales here.
The Foundation Friends award two annual scholarships to high school seniors who work or volunteer for the library. Learn about the 2024 scholarship winners in this video.
Show your support for the library by joining the Foundation Friends. Membership entitles you to a free book from the Foundation Friends Bookstore at the Main Library and also opens up volunteer opportunities with the Friends. Friends members are invited to special early shopping opportunities ahead of the semi-annual book sales.
