The Foundation Friends Bookstore is located inside the Main Library at 425 E. Main Street. It carries gently used books, movies, music, audiobooks, games, and puzzles. Proceeds from the bookstore benefit the Carmel Clay Public Library. The bookstore is staffed entirely by volunteers. The Foundation Friends hold large-scale book sales in the Main Library Community Room twice a year in the spring and fall. Shoppers may bring their own bags and fill them for just $10. Bags are also available to purchase at the sale for $10 and can then be filled for no extra charge. The sale includes items for all ages. Cash and credit cards are accepted. All proceeds support Carmel Clay Public Library programs.
The next book sale will be in April 2–4, 2026.
