(Ages 9–12) Join us for a discussion of Bouncing Back and participate in a basketball tower challenge. Read the full event description for important registration info or call 317.844.3363.
In Bouncing Back by Scott Ostler, orphaned 13-year-old Carlos learns what it truly means to be a teammate when he must help save his new wheelchair basketball team's gym from destruction. Join us in discussing this wonderful story about basketball and determination and then challenge yourself by using newspaper and masking tape to build a tower that is strong enough to hold a basketball.
Registration is required and begins August 29. To ensure successful signup, each child age 9–12 needs to be registered separately, using the child's first and last name—not the parent's name— on the registration form. A library card number is not required. A caregiver must be present and actively engaged in the program. Siblings are welcome and don't need to register.
