Students in grades 4–12 can participate in the 4th Annual Indiana Youth Scrabble Championship, held for the first time at the Main Library. Registration is required.
Now in its 4th year and open to all ages and experiences, the Carmel Clay Public Library is excited to host a fun day of wordplay during the Indiana Youth Scrabble Championship. There will be varying divisions of competitiveness, and we will provide boards, tiles, and clocks for all Scrabblers. Join us at 9am for a quick lesson/recap on how to play, followed by several rounds of games. Snacks and drinks will be provided in the breaks between rounds. Prizes will be awarded to the top competitors, alongside special awards for highest-scoring play and "wackiest word." Registration is required.
Presented in partnership with the Carmel High School Scrabble Club. Archit Kalra, the CHS Scrabble Club leader, is a nationally ranked Scrabble player and has extensive experience in running competitions and tournaments. The club will be present to ensure that the tournament runs smoothly and fairly.
