What is a zine?
Zines are self-published works of written and visual art that are created by hand or digitally and distributed to an audience. They have their literary roots in fanzines and magazines and are typically produced in small batches.
What is the Scary Stories Zine?
This fall the library will be accepting submissions for its Scary Stories Zine. The Scary Stories Zine is an issue of the CCPL Teen Zine with a focus on spooky, spine-tingling tales, monsters, and other frightful creatures. We encourage teens to submit written and visual works of art inspired by the terrifying world of zombies and teenage werewolves.
The library will be accepting submissions from October 1 through December 31, 2022. Selected works will be compiled into a digital zine. A complete description of the project and guidelines for submitting can be found here.
