A social gathering for people living with memory loss and their care partners.
Memory Café is a monthly gathering for people living with memory loss and their care partners where they can connect with each other without the stigma associated with memory loss. Gatherings take place on the first Tuesday of the month from February through May between 10:30am and noon. Each month's meeting will have time for socializing and a central activity. Here are the activities for each month:
No registration required. Patrons are welcome to attend any of the Memory Cafés that they would like, and meetings have a drop-in, come-and-go format. Any questions about Memory Café can be directed to Adult Services at 317.814.3988 or adultservices@carmelclaylibrary.org.
The library is partnering with staff of PrimeLife Enrichment to host Memory Cafés. PrimeLife Enrichment hosts their own Memory Café every third Thursday of the month; more information can be found on the PrimeLife calendar. Resources for people living with dementia and their care partners can be found through Dementia Friends Indiana.
