Voting at the Main Library

Please note that the voting line at this location forms outside.

Voting on Election Day (Tuesday, November 5)

On election day, Hamilton County voters must vote at the polling place assigned to their precinct. Only voters who live in Carmel precincts Clay 52 and Clay 64 may vote at the Main Library on Tuesday, November 5. Voting on election day is from 6am–6pm.

Find your precinct and your polling place here.

Where to Park and How to Enter

When voting at the Main Library, we recommend parking in the library parking garage on the south side of the building. Enter the garage through either of the entrances marked with a yellow arrow below. There is also a surface parking lot next to the garage.

Voting will take place in Community Room A, located on the ground floor at the southwest corner of the library building. Enter through the marked exterior door (shown with green arrows below).

    What to Bring

Bring your ID (Indiana Driver’s License, Indiana State ID, U.S. Passport, or U.S. Military ID).

Your ID must meet the following requirements:

    • contain a photo
    • show your name
    • include an expiration date, which can be current or have expired after the date of the last general election (November 7, 2023)
    • be government issued by the state of Indiana (driver's license, state ID) or by the federal government (U.S. passport, U.S. military ID)

Because the line for voting forms outside, you may want to bring an umbrella or jacket.
