Join Sam Quinones, New York Times bestselling author of Dreamland, as he discusses his new book The Least of Us: True Tales of America and Hope in the Time of Fentanyl and Meth. Nominated as a finalist for a National Book Critics Circle award for Best Nonfiction book of 2021, The Least of Us explores the spread of some of the most dangerous drugs ever to hit American streets. It also delves into the neuroscience of addiction and shares inspiring stories of individuals who are working to rebuild their own lives and their communities.
A former reporter with the LA Times, Sam Quinones has had a journalist career spanning three decades and has penned pieces for numerous periodicals, including National Geographic and The New York Times.
This is a joint virtual program offered by the Carmel Clay Public Library and the Hamilton East Public Library and will be held via Zoom. Space is limited, and registration with an email address is required beginning July 1. Registrants who are new to the Hamilton East event system will receive an email to confirm their email address. All registrants will be emailed the event login information prior to the program.
