Join the 65th Street Klezmorim for a lively performance of traditional klezmer music. Registration is required.
Klezmer music is a traditional folk music that borrows inspiration from the synagogue, Roma peoples, European folk music, and even classical music. The 65th Street Klezmorim is a traditional klezmer ensemble and the house band for the Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation (IHC). The group is under the direction of Dr. Shawn Royer and was founded by Cantor Emeritus Janice Roger in 1996. The Klezmorim performs regularly for celebratory events, worship services, and music festivals, and presents interactive educational concerts at schools and universities. Registration is required for this free concert.
