Families can enjoy a nature walk and story by participating in our StoryWalk at West Park on West 116th Street.
Visit West Park (3000 W. 116th St.) from August 16–September 21, when CCPL will be partnering with Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation to present a StoryWalk featuring the bilingual English/Spanish book Señorita Mariposa by Ben Gundersheimer and illustrated by Marcos Almada Rivero. Follow the signs from the Jill Perelman Pavilion to the trail around the adventure playground to read this book and learn about monarch butterflies. You might even see some monarchs since they are migrating during this time!
A butterfly take-and-make craft will be available at the West Branch, while supplies last, for you to pick up and do at home!
