Bestselling author Neal Stephenson joins us for a live author conversation in Hotel Carmichael's Cole Porter Ballroom. Tickets are $15 for this special fundraising event.
Neal Stephenson is an American writer known for his works of speculative fiction. His novels have been categorized as science fiction, historical fiction, cyberpunk, postcyberpunk, and baroque. Stephenson's work explores mathematics, cryptography, linguistics, philosophy, currency, and the history of science. He also writes nonfiction articles about technology in publications such as Wired.
In his sweeping, prescient new novel Termination Shock, Stephenson transports readers to a near-future world in which the greenhouse effect has inexorably resulted in a whirling-dervish troposphere of superstorms, rising sea levels, global flooding, merciless heat waves, and virulent, deadly pandemics.
