Help your favorite characters reach their happily-ever-afters with a special kit full of ideas for interactive family movie night fun! Registration is required and begins February 22.
Enjoy family movie night like never before! Now with two new kits available! Register for an interactive family movie night kit, which will include a bag of popcorn, a craft related to the movie of your choice from our kit list, special instructions to follow while watching your movie, and suggestions for continuing the fun after the show.
Physical DVDs / Blu-rays will not be included in these kits. You may check out the movies from the library, and they are also available via various streaming services, listed below.
Registration is required, beginning February 22 and ending February 27. To register, call the Youth Services Desk at 317-844-3363 or fill out this online form. You will receive a call or email when your kit is ready for pickup at the Merchants' Square Main Library. All registrations received by 5 p.m. on February 27 will be filled, but requests can take up to 48 hours to process, so please plan accordingly.
Kits are available for the following movies:
The Pebble and the Penguin (Rated G). Recommended for kids ages 7+ by Common Sense Media. Only available online by accessing the library's Hoopla app here.
The Lorax (Rated PG). Recommended for kids ages 5+ by Common Sense Media. Also available online through Netflix.
Frozen (Rated PG). Recommended for kids ages 5+ by Common Sense Media. Also available online through Disney+.
Trolls World Tour (Rated PG). Recommended for kids ages 6+ by Common Sense Media. Also available online through Hulu.
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Rated G). Recommended for kids ages 6+ by Common Sense Media. Also available online by accessing the library's Hoopla app here.
Pokemon (typically Rated G). Usually recommended for kids ages 5-8+ by Common Sense Media. You can choose your favorite Pokemon movie to go along with this kit! The library has plenty of DVDs and Blu-rays, or you can find 16 different movies online by accessing the library's Hoopla app here.
