An online book club for kids ages 9–12 and their caregivers with weekly activities beginning March 8 and a live discussion on March 29. Registration is required and begins February 22.
Celebrate Women’s History Month by reading a biography of an important woman in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, or Mathematics. We've compiled an inspiring collection of biographies to introduce you to amazing women who have defied odds, persevered, and become leaders in their field.
Registration is required and begins February 22. After you register, a staff member will email you a list of women and their accomplishments. You can choose whose biography to read and whether you'd like to pick up your book, along with some Post-Its and a planning sheet, at the Kids' Desk or curbside at the Merchants' Square Main Library. The email will also contain a link for participating in lots of fun weekly activities through Padlet, a shared digital wall, beginning March 8.
Then on March 29 we'll get together live via Zoom at 6:30 p.m. to share what we've learned about these remarkable women in history. Zoom login information will be emailed to registrants the morning of March 29. Your registration allows your family to connect using only one device. Please do not connect with multiple devices.
